Founded in September 2013, the Leeds United Foundation Skills Centre at Outwood and The Grammar School at Leeds offer players aged 5 to 12 years of age the opportunity to improve, enhance and hone their on-field skills and confidence. Our team of outstanding coaches encourage players to be more active and help them develop to be the best football player they possibly can be.
Alongside practical sessions we also encourage the all important ‘soft’ social elements of fun, gaining confidence and progressing to the next level at our centres.
- We've helped to develop around 100 players over the course of the year to improve their skills, abilities and confidence in football.
- 269 children participated weekly in our Skills Centres over 2014-2015.
- Some boys have even progressed to the Leeds United Development Centre and the Leeds United Academy.
Gary Waddington, Leeds United Foundation, said:
“The Outwood skills centre has been a great success and has been well received by players, parents and even other coaches as a quality centre that offers great coaching and results."
