Am I eligible to take part?
If you are aged between 15-17 years old* and live in England, you are eligible to take part in NCS. Remember, you can only take part in NCS once.
Which programme can I go on?
Depending on your age, you may only be able to take part in certain NCS programmes – take a look at the table below and that should clear it up for you.
Are places on NCS limited?
Yes, although there are three opportunities to take part in NCS across the year, places are limited and allocated on a ‘first come, first served’ basis so we recommend signing up as soon as possible
How much does it cost?
If you take part in a summer programme, the maximum contribution will be £50, however special limited incentives are available for those that sign up early. Please contact email@example.com for more information.
Will you cater for my religious beliefs?
We cater for all religious and cultural beliefs and are here to talk to you about how we can accommodate such beliefs at any time during the programme.
I have additional needs, can I still do NCS?
NCS is an inclusive programme; we are committed to making the programme accessible to every young person. Where possible, we will ensure that additional support is put in place to allow all young people to benefit and take part in this incredible programme.
Can I do NCS with my friends?
A large part of NCS is meeting new people, we understand that this can be a daunting experience, so we hold a series of activities before the programme, so you can meet the people you will be spending time with on NCS.
What is social action?
A social action project is when a group work together to try and fix an area of concern for their community. Examples include renovating a community venue, holding a family fun day and raising money for a local charity.
Will I be expected to share a room?
Accommodation varies depending on the programme, but you are likely to stay in shared bedrooms, males and females will not be expected to share accommodation.
